Who We Are
Welcome to Alpha Research, the Clinical Research Division of Lucere Dermatology & Laser Clinic. We work to advance the field of Cosmetic and Dermatological Medicine. Our dedicated team of research professionals are committed to developing new treatments and products. We are on the cutting edge of science and committed to improving skin health for everyone.
Alpha Research works in collaboration with major players in the pharmaceutical industry, Health Canada, as well as the U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to run studies and clinical trials. These Research Trials are conducted in order to develop new treatments, preventions and devices for diseases and/or conditions. Clinical Research Trials are also referred to as Clinical Studies, Clinical Trials, or Research Trials.
Who Can Participate?
Individuals conducting clinical trials are called investigators, and under Canadian law, investigators are required to be physicians. Dr. Zaki Taher is a Board-Certified Dermatologist whose areas of research interest include Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology. It is important to note that clinical trials must follow strict scientific standards as outlined in Health Canada Guidelines. Clinical trials occur in the final stages of a long, thorough systematic research process.
