Frequently Asked Questions
How does a Lucere Fat Transfer work
Fat transfer works by relocating the body’s natural fat deposits. Liposuction is used to collect fat from any part of the body where there are excess fat reserves, typically the abdomen, thighs, or flanks. Fat transfer can therefore have a double effect: It reduces excess fat in problematic areas and transfers it to where it is needed.
The ‘donor’ fat is then injected beneath the surface of the skin at the site to be treated. This immediately restores fullness and definition, effectively combating wrinkles, sagging, and the signs of ageing. As the procedure utilizes nothing but the patient’s existing fat reserves, it is considered a safe form of facial restoration surgery for most people.
Most Lucere Fat Transfer procedures take place under general anesthetic, and are usually complete within 2 to 4 hours. The subsequent recovery time varies from 1 to 2 weeks, in accordance with the nature and extent of the procedure performed.
All patients are provided with full disclosure of the potential risks associated with this procedure in advance, along with a detailed post-procedure guide to ensure the quickest possible recovery.

Are there scars left behind after a fat transfer procedure?
Both the removal of the fat and its relocation to problem areas of the face or other areas are conducted in a way that minimizes scarring. The injections take place in discreet locations, and all residual scars may gradually fade until they become virtually undetectable.
